Thuja occidentalis ‘Norm Evers’
3 gallon pot
Fine, juvenile foliage, a handsome teardrop shape, and a tolerance of extremely harsh winter weather distinguish Thuja occidentalis ‘Norm Evers’ from other choices. The open, lacy foliage turns a muted rust color in winter and brightens back to green in spring. This seedling selection, named for Norm Evers, retired director of McCrory Botanic Garden and instructor at South Dakota State University, has stood the test of time against cold, snow and ice in that cold, northern state. Among the hardiest, durable and adaptable to many conditions.
